Foot care nurse or specialist
That's us
- Training
- Registered nurse or allied health professional with specialized foot care education. Nurses are regulated by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- What they do
- Assess feet, nails, skin, circulation and footwear. Trim and debulk thick nails, reduce calluses and corns, maintain ingrown nails, provide diabetic foot care, teach prevention, and refer to a doctor or podiatrist when needed.
- What they don't do
- Surgery, prescribing medication, or diagnosing conditions like a physician.
- Where
- In your home, in clinic, or in hospital. Sterile instruments for every client.
- Best for
- Routine medical foot care, especially for seniors, people with diabetes, circulation problems, limited mobility or cognitive concerns.
- Tool safety
- Our tools are cleaned, disinfected and sterilized following BC's Best Practice Guidelines for Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization. This standard isn't a regulated requirement for estheticians.
